His Offense includes numerous men selected to the 2006 and 2007 Empire League Allstar Teams, including League Offensive Player of the Year in both seasons, Brad Ruderman, and League Offensive Rookie of the Year om 2006, Jason Young. In 2003, Scott led the New England Football League in receptions and was named Ice Storm Co-Offensive MVP. He capped off his career in 2005 by being voted “Mr. Ice Storm,” the team’s ultimate accolade - given for “Loyalty, Proficiency, and Spirit.” When not watching game film or planning strategy, Scott works in advertising for Comcast Spotlight and resides in Plattsburgh.

He was first an Assistant Coach with the Northstars and then ended up working several different stints during the late 90s as the Head Coach of that team. Mike has “done it all” for the Storm. He was the Head Coach of the Ice Storm in 2005, and has served as the Offensive Coordinator, Defensive Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, and as a position coach during his tenure as an Ice Storm. For the 2008 season, Mike will be the Running Backs Coach and, in addition to these duties, he will be the Special Teams Coordinator. Mike works in New York where he lives with his daughter Santana and his sons Carson and Kayden.

Offensive Line Coach Jeff Miller
Offensive Line Coach Jeff Miller was born in Chicago, IL, and grew up in Eugene, Oregon, the youngest of three in a Military family. Jeff played sports all through junior and senior high school. He lettered in football, wrestling, and track all four years in high school. Playing on a championship team his senior year as an offensive and defensive lineman, “House” (as he is lovingly referred to by the members of the Storm) received letters from various colleges but opted to stay local and compete in track at a Div II college. Jeff started his semi-pro career a couple of years later for the Eugene Blast in the Northwest Football League, where he played four years as a defensive lineman and inside linebacker. Jeff moved to Vermont in 1993, started a family, and worked in the building trade industry. Jeff has played seven seasons for the Vermont Ice Storm, has been named Captain each year, and has been named to All-Star teams three times including the 2007 season. He has been named “Mr. Ice Storm” three times. Refusing to retire "completely" this season (“never give up, never surrender”), Jeff will be a player-coach again in 2008. He currently resides in St. Albans with his wife Dawn and four children, James, Lindsey, Phillip, and Nathaniel.

Defensive Backs Coach Drew Gordon
Drew Gordon is a player-coach with the Ice Storm, directing the defensive backs. Drew is a phenomenal player who in 2006 moved effortlessly from being a “AA” Allstar in the New England Football League to being an Allstar in “AAA” football in the Empire League. Drew is known as “the best open-field tackler” on the team. Also a member of the Vermont Ice Storm Board of Directors, Drew attended the University of Vermont, and majored in Education, graduating in May of 2006. Drew teaches at Milton High School. Drew is married to Maria Gordon – they actually got married on the day of a game in 2006 (Drew attended the game, intercepted a pass, and ran it in for a touchdown while Maria watched from the stands, in her wedding gown!). Together the couple recently welcomed Isabel, their first child, into the Ice Storm family. They are expecting their second arrival soon.

Receiver Coach Troy Canada
A player-coach and Captain for the Storm for several years now, Troy Canada has a semi-pro football career that dates back to 1992, when he played for the Plattsburgh Northstars. With the Ice Storm since its inception in 2001, Troy has been an All-star in both the New England Football League and the Empire Football League as a wide receiver and as a kick return specialist. Linebacker Coach Kevin Fournier
Kevin is a graduate of Essex Junction High School where he played both linebacker and running back throughout his stellar carerr there. Beginning his semi-pro career in 2005, Kevin played special teams for one year before earning his first string slot amongst "the best linebacker corps in the world!" Kevin is one of the fastest linebackers in this or any league. In both 2006 and 2007, Kevin was named to the Empire Football League Allstar team.

Defensive Backfield/Linebacker Coach Donny LaFleur
Donny LaFleur, who originally played at Milton High School, will be helping to coach both the linebackers and the defensive backs in 2008. Donny played college football in Tennessee and, later in his career, played “pro” football (as a tailback!) in a paid-to-play semi-pro league in the South. Donny brings a reputation as one of the hardest hitting men in a football uniform anywhere “in the world” of semi-pro football. He has helped to develop the playbook and to install several new defensive “twists to things” for 2008.

Tight Ends/Wide Recievers Coach Kevin Matott
Kevin has been with the Ice Storm since its initial season of 2001. Beginning as a Strong Safety, Kevin later moved over to the offensive side of the ball where he was a wide-out for several seasons. Beginning in 2005, Kevin became the first string Tight End for the Storm. In honor of all the training and tenacity required to make these several shifts in position, the team voted him the "Most Improved Player" during the 2006 season. This season will be his first season involving coaching chores (although he will still play on Saturdays). Kevin lives in Barre with his wife Heather and his children Brittany (5) and Kyle (3).
